1. Purpose of Processing I understand that for the purpose of obtaining an FBI Background Check, it is necessary to capture my fingerprints (biometric data). This data will be used solely for:
Verification of my identity.
Submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States.
2. International Data Transfer (USA) I am aware that my biometric data will be transferred from the European Union to Borderless Business LLC, DBA: Tu Apostilla and the FBI in the United States. I understand that the US may not have an “adequacy decision” from the European Commission and that there are potential risks regarding data access by US authorities. To mitigate this, my data will be encrypted using AES-256 standards during transit.
3. Data Retention & Deletion I understand that the local fingerprinting partner acts as a “temporary conduit.” My fingerprints will be deleted from the local capture device and computer immediately after the successful transmission to Borderless Business LLC, DBA: Tu Apostilla.
4. My Rights I am aware that I have the right to:
Withdraw this consent at any time (though this may result in the inability to complete the background check).
Access, rectify, or request the erasure of my data.
